Dear Odyssey Academy Family,
OA will reopen school with students tomorrow (Monday, February 22) after the challenges the winter storm brought last week. None of our three OA schools are currently under boil water notices. Students will still continue to bring their own water bottles to school due to them not being able to drink directly from the water fountains as part of our COVID protocols we have utilized this entire school year.
We have missed you all and hope that weather related damages and issues are beginning to be resolved. We have been thinking of you all.
Also, we believe the Texas Education Agency will waive all five days we were not open for in-person learning last week. Therefore, at this time, we will not begin the process of collecting documentation for attendance. We will let you know if anything changes in regards to attendance for last week, but we are very pleased that we will hopefully not have to worry about attendance nor making up the in-person instructional days.
Again, we look forward to seeing our students and staff tomorrow for school!

OA reabrirá la escuela con los estudiantes mañana (lunes 22 de febrero) después de los desafíos que trajo la tormenta de invierno la semana pasada. Ninguna de nuestras tres escuelas de OA está actualmente bajo avisos de hervir el agua. Los estudiantes seguirán trayendo sus propias botellas de agua a la escuela debido a que no podrán beber directamente de las fuentes de agua como parte de nuestros protocolos COVID que hemos utilizado durante todo el año escolar.
Los hemos extrañado a todos y esperamos que los daños y problemas relacionados con el clima estén comenzando a resolverse. Hemos estado pensando en todos ustedes.
Además, creemos que la Agencia de Educación de Texas eximirá los cinco días que no estuvimos abiertos para el aprendizaje en persona la semana pasada. Por lo tanto, en este momento, no comenzaremos el proceso de recopilación de documentación para la asistencia. Le informaremos si algo cambia con respecto a la asistencia de la semana pasada, pero estamos muy contentos de que, con suerte, no tendremos que preocuparnos por la asistencia ni por recuperar los días de instrucción en persona.
Nuevamente, ¡esperamos ver a nuestros estudiantes y personal mañana en la escuela!
